As a cyclist racing at international level, on both Junior and Senior Irish Cycling teams travelling throughout Europe, Shane's love of the fitness industry began at an early age. Throughout his years racing at international level he developed a keen interest in nutrition, fitness and exercise. Now with over 20 years of experience working in the health and fitness industry Shane's passion for the industry is insurmountable. Having worked his way up from the gym floor right up to top level management and teaching, Shane then opened his own successful fitness studio, Sprint Fitness based in Gorey, Co. Wexford. Sprint Fitness offers a wide range of fitness classes along with one to one and group Personal Training.
Whilst seeking confident, qualified and knowledgeable personal trainers to join his team in Sprint Fitness, Shane realised that many candidates were lacking in the areas of confidence, interpersonal skills and experience which are key attributes in being a successful fitness professional. With this in mind, Shane decided to expand Sprint Fitness Ltd to also include Sprint College offering internationally recognised qualifications. Shane's priority in Sprint College is not only to provide a high standard of tuition with experienced tutors who are also currently working within the fitness industry but to also instil confidence and the customer service skills required to be successful.
Shane has been described by past students of Sprint College as "oozing knowledge and enthusiasm”. Shane believes that as a tutor, students must be engaged and taught in an interactive and practical environment. He believes that this will not only keep students interested and excited about their chosen industry but it will also give them confidence upon completion of their courses.
Together with owning her own successful pole fitness studio and working as a Personal Trainer and at Sprint Fitness, Erin is an asset to the Sprint College team. Erin’s passion and knowledge as a working personal trainer is tangible throughout the courses here at Sprint College.
